Default The Slate slate thread

I hate slates, they break too easily, the edges are sharp, and they're too much money.

I don't understand why people have to slate another persons car just because it isn't what they bought themselves.
Is it envy, jealousy or self importance forcing people to pronounce theirs is best?
I have got a Terrano, but I am pretty confident there are many better vehicles of many makes that are better than my rusting pile of scrap. Only difference is this one is mine and I do happen to like it, doesn't make it better than someone else's car.
If someone has a Rolls Royce or a Reliant Robin I'm not going to pick faults with their car. It's pretty rude really, and certainly unnecessary.

i suppose it depends on the slate. welsh slate is tradionally a good quality stone, but China can produce a very similar product for much less money, so unfortunatly, i reckon China Slate is a bette rbuy, than welsh, shame.

p.s. my slates better than yours so *raspberry*
