Localised Flooding
so we had a very rainy day today here in Huddersfield, and all the usual places flooded. Me and Heidi were out and about in the Maverick, and as ever i was a little nervous figuring this was a recipe for my car breaking down. anyway, go to some badly flooded roads (Cooper Bridge for a start for those who live near by) and everything was fine, drove right through it and the car didnt break down, have a fit, or have an electrical spasm.
needless to say i wasnted to do it again but traffic was backed up as people tried to pass through the middle, so i went for a scoot round the back track and had a good splash around in the puddles etc, was fun, i really need a green lane somewhere...!! |

the small floods on roads on shropshire have been fun today, i got my T2 plastered in mud hauling logs and then a free car wash racing through flood water on the way home

Yeah the Calder is well up
Seen a dipstick who had to drive through a flood in his citren picasso and stopped! a fiesta tried to tow him out but gave up when his clutch started to smell. The place to go is Thornhill Lane at Brighouse, theres a great little Ford. I've been there before to wash the underside but it don't half flow in weather like this. I'm sure Briggie will know the place. Jim |

Quite a few in derbyshire........... and a lot in north wales, if anyone's interested, I'd be happy to show ppl the lanes I know, tend not to go for the ones which are scratchy tho, my motor is clean and in good condition, plenty to drive tho which are non damaging.......
