Hello
Thought I would introduce myself
I have just acquired a Terrano LWB 2.7td with a blown engine(2 pistons went into melt down and 2 very badly scored cylinder bores)I need to source another engine to keep the girl alive but didn't have much info on the vehicle or engine so joined this forum.I enjoy working and rebuilding engines and would have rebuilt this one but it would probably be easier for me to source a complete running lump .My search goes on and while it does I can gain a wealth of knowledge on here to make life easier when I eventually get on or off road again. I will have a better look at the engine tommorrow but it has the intercooler on top and guess it's the fly by wire type so not the early one .The vehicle only became available to me a couple of days ago so I am still a little green. Cheers Dave |

welcome dave, sounds like another engine's needed, it's a bit unusual to blow the 2.7tdi engine they are normally bullet proof, do you know what caused the failure? would be interesting to know, anyway dave there should be plenty of info on here for you, check the down loads, terry

A quick check that morning of the engine and water etc was all that was needed, now the owner has ruined a perfectly fine running engine. It,s funny as the other week I looked at a Pajero for a mate and when going over it I looked in the radiator to find no water(It needed a good couple of litres to fill it).I said to the fella when was the last time he checked it and he said a couple of months back I will get some pics when I can. |
