Default Go Prepared

If it sounds like fun go for it....But go prepared.. you never know what you will have to pull out!!!! ( usually a landrover or sommet!! )

But seriousley we went out a 12 noon saturday with kid and dogs for a walk in the woods got caught in blizzards by 3:30 we were in the pub with 2 rescued people having pulled out a police landy with 5 other rescuees in it, and waited till 6:30pm til the rescued snow plough cleared the way down.

This it troll in car park after an hour. It is still iced up to day!!!

Take care

Now tell me just why do we have 4x4's

Is that an amber beacon on top with a lucky shot of it flashing or just a street lamp in the right place.

Jim T

PS still waiting for more snow but we now have full warnings of it from Met Office

Street lamp!! Street lamp The nearest street lamp is about 5miles to the east and a dose of ear popping down!! Through 8 - 15 foot drifts that the ploughs didn't clear till sunday afternoon. That was ths Pub Sign in the background..!

This is a pic my wife took as we had just pulled the over enthusiastic copper out of the drift.. she turned the flash of so as not to annoy him.

I asked if he had a rope to pull him out with but he said no, This I thought a bit od but later found out that their patrol car could not get onto the moor top so they went to the local Landrover dealer and comandeered one. ( I'll have that one please!! ) and by ek he gave it some beans!!

Well done to the two bobby's who put them selves at risk for Joe public above and beyoned the call of duty!!!!!!

Had about 3 inches down my way, which of course means it IS the end of the world... Sigh.

Just helped a mate out by doing the three mile round trip to collect his missus from work. Something about his V8 Mustang being a tad too sideways all the time to actually get anywhere.

Joking aside, it will be for sale within a month. Three grand. P/X reasonable Terrano 2 (LWB, petrol or diesel) and around a grand. Kinda sold him on the big T2.
