Default gear box not changing properly, What ATF plz?

Just bought a terrano II 95M and when driving it it seemed to be not changing gear right although it does change gear? If hold full throttle on it dont change gear until revs are released. So if driving up hill and put under load it does not back down a gear when reving but stays in same gear as approching. It will go through all gears but have to back off on the gas each time to get a gear change?

So the summary is revs to idle when changing gear?

Any graunching noises at all?

Daft question ... it's not a case of the switch on the dash being in "Hold" or "Economy" position , is it?

I found the problem!! sneaky filter in the banjo limiting the fuel and so engine had no beans!! sneaky sneaky sneaky, what a place to put a second fuel filter!
