Newbie with a question....
Hi all just purchased a 2004 3.0 XLT Maverick, was looking to get another Terrano and never even considered a maverick as an option. I viewed a couple of 2001 / 2002 terrano's but both deals fell through, getting fed up with scouring the net looking for a 4x4 within my budget when the wife comes home after shopping and says i've just seen a lovely car called a maverick, the rest is history....... Right my question is WHAT YEAR DID THEY STOP MAKING THE MAVERICK, cheers Alan....

A 2004 will be a late model Ford Maverick (Mazda Tribute) - also Ford Escape in some markets.

former member cameraman, sheffield based had a 3 litre beauty but thirsty.
theres been a few other mk2 mav owners here come and go. looking for advise i'd try andy, into landies now say no more and senior member on corc site. know had real difficulty getting rid of it when went after a s2 disco. think he got about 12mpg towing a 12' caravan. the mav equiv to a terrano ended around s reg on the twin headlight version. only the t2 was sold in mk3/4 versions of the r20.

Thanks all.... Personally i think me new ford/nissan/mazda is a great looking motor and yes regards fuel consumption seems to be a bit on the juicey side, but as its going to be mainly the wifes daily drive and it was love at first site for her (so made me buy it ), then hopefully she will be putting 75% of the petrol in it.
Still confused as to what make of car i have i looked at the keys tonight and i found that one key is a ford key and the other is a mazda key |
