New Owner Trip Planning (london to cape town)
So a friend and i have just bought a Terrano II with FSH and 120k miles.
Now this may seem mad but we intend to try and drive it from London to Cape Town, as we dont have a huge amount of time we are running around trying to kit it out for the trip. If anyone has any recommendations about possible faults or upgrades that we should do please shout, it would be much appreciated! A great site btw, look forward to hearing from ppl. |

Obvious things off the top of my head would be make sure you're free wheeling hubs are working, maybe fit manuals or carry spares though they are reliable if not abused - download in members area. If a TDi probably a good idea to take a spare MAF with you. Check to see if its got a mini filter and clean it - another download. Check its got a front bash guard - many seem to loose them at service time. |
