Rubber underarch flaps
just had them off to de-rust . underseal / waxoil behind them
put them back on or leave them off, they didnt seem to be doing much except trapping water |

They stop a lot of water and mud getting into the engine bay - on a petrol without tyhem even a small puddle can cause em to cough for a few seconds without em as water end up straight on the dizzy and coil
