When you start a new thread (not a post to an existing thread) Mav look down towards the bottom of the 'Options'...theres one there that lets you post and lock it, presumably so nobody can argue with you!!

It might be for use with a poll, but since I haven't worked out how you do one, I'm none the wiser!
