i think its a good idea to explain what the plan is zipps.

we would like to build up a list of active members and locations
not sure how we will make it up yet!

some sites can show you who's in your area when you log in
others show you when you mouse over user name etc.
but as we havn't run this past the boss yet. cos he's away
and we think its a good thing to be able to see who's around you
not post codes just town / county wise

the overall plan is to be able to search for members in your area
for mechanical help, meets, organizing events, arranging meets or places to visit

i think it will be good to see where people are from and possibly gain local info from others

another idea i have that might help others, is to have our own list of lanes and tracks within our club.
somewhere we can list our tracks , pay and play sites etc.
so if you have some ill be starting a new thread real soon

if there is something you would like to do , or an idea you have for the club why not enter them here or start a thread.

Excellent idea Extreme.
(I have only quoted part of your last post)

Only thing i would add is they need to be ACTIVE members, No point in asking someone where the local tracks are if they have not logged in in the last 6 months.

Come on Zip, Time to start work.

Nice one ,zippy. Only three miles from my house but close enough, unless you want to move it slightly.

Good job.
