which club
Last year we joined the caravan and camping club, one of our friends is in the caravan club not sure which one to join this year.Any thoughts on which one is best? We joined the caravan and camping one because the people we bought our caravan of were members of that one and recommended it. Cheers

if your friends are members on the other one, read there club book, and swop cards when you need to you the other club sites, works both ways. one payment and you can have BOTH clubs..

CCC if you tent as well, though personally as a vanner only prefer CC, more
club and cl sites, with better facilities. our parents are in CCC but frankly frequently find the attitude of site staff lacking compared to CC, on some sites there was an anti van feeling, or perhaps individuals were more pro tent than a more professional neutral. More CC sites are open all year round with all weather pitches plus lots of active local centre groups which these days is own main reason to be members to attend rallies which are both very economical and sociable.

i found the caravan club a bit snooty at times, especilly if you own a older van and car, and the members dont seem as friendly as c&cc, but thats only my opinion.

clicky to start with, not that folks mean to, just not all as outgoing as others as in any other walk of life and those that have already made friends dont always see need to expand their friendships. that said generally get talking about either the kids, the dogs, the truck or gizmos and then next time you see them you can build on it. yep more gin palaces on club sites, used to feel like old'uns looking down nose at us youngsters, yet often been caravanning longer and can politely teach em to suck an egg or two. also funny how you often get talking to the neighbours as you are leaving....
