Possibily this came about cos of that guy the other month with his dodgily modded LR - IIRC his kids were killed in a road accident.

That said apparently his LR was a heap of Shit (aren't they all) and shouldn't have been on the road.

Any mods, when done correctly, shoudln't detrimentaly affect the road-worthiness of the vehicle.

Have to agree with you mate it was a nasty business and it ended up with the death of his whole family. So many peeps think they know all about motors and mod them with all the bits but how safe are they?

These motors can handle 95% of the terain without any mods. Infact I've used to drive a transit van on harder ground than most peeps take there 4x4.

It's all for show.

I bet there a hanfull of peeps on this site who actually use the kit they put on.

A terable waste of life and I hope they take more dangerous motors of the road.

I'd rather the chaps enforcing regulations are over-strict than having to deal with idiots such as this coming the opposite way on the roads, to be perfectly frank.

Besides, the article linked to by the OP even had some on that forum questioning how accurate the story was. Still, even if it was correct, you can always challenge an inappropriate impounding. In accidents caused by deathtrap modded cars, there often isn't recourse.
