Default I Think Winter Is Coming

Winter is definitely on it's way, my radio says so

The display gets worse in cooler temperatures.

Don't get paid until October from the new job so can't get a new head unit yet. Wife thinks it's more important to pay mortgage

Question Liquid Crystal Displays.

These LCD designs are not good with cooler temperatures. The radio display in our R129 is much like yours when it is cold but returns to normal once the cabin warms up a tad.

I think these radios are BLAUPUNKT BP 9349

I've had a look online and it doesn't seem like there's a plug and play screen that you can buy for it

Can't even see any for sale on eBay at the minute either and the last one that sold went for £70 from a 2000 plate

Maybe I should buy this spare screen James reckons he has?

What you reckon Uncle Blocker????

There has to be a screen off something that would plug in. Not necessarily the same size but maybe extend the cable and fit it somewhere else

I need to get the 3 litre display fixed now, I want to get listening to this, £1 in the charity shop, the plot sounds awesome and read by Michael Jayston too.

Bumped into him a fee years ago walking around Stratford upon Avon

Out with the headunit

All the angles

Not sure if this code is useful in any way, but if you look around the casing the front of the radio is secured to the rest of the stereo with x4 T8 security screws

If you wind these out you can separate the front of the stereo which in turn will expose the ribbon connecting the stereo to the LCD screen, I'd been advised by an old school CB modder that if I heat up the ribbon really hot with the hair dryer and then press and follow the lines on the ribbon with an eraser on the end of a pencil it should sort out any issues I'm having with the digits not showing on the display.

AMAZING!!!!! It's only gone and fixed it!!!! Before and after below
