Default Foul Play?

Not only were these chumps parked on a red route during a time prohibited as per the signage ft away from their vehicle, but they had also made the attempt to obscure their vehicle behind signage

I may have been going a tad bit quicker than I should have been (35-36 in a 30) I got out to take pictures just in case I have to fight it.

What's the score with speed camera vehicles and signage anyway? I thought there were regulations stipulating that they had to display signage a certain distance away from the vehicles etc

Discuss??

Just found this on the House of Commons site on signage

On signing, it states:
Camera signs should continue to be co-located with speed limit signs where permitted and practicable.

For fixed speed enforcement, co-located camera and speed limit reminder signs should continue to be placed to allow the signs and speed camera to be visible to the driver in the same view. A camera sign may also be placed not more than 1 km from the first camera housing in the direction being enforced (including or excluding side roads at the discretion of the road safety partnership).

For mobile enforcement, co-located camera and speed limit reminder signs should continue to be placed in advance of the point of entry to the site or route (including or excluding side roads at the discretion of the road safety partnership) in the direction being enforced. Camera signs should also continue to be placed thereafter at intervals of around 1 km throughout the length being enforced.10

7 DfT, Use of speed and red-light cameras for traffic enforcement: guidance on deployment, visibility and signing (DfT Circular 01/2007), 31 January 2007
8 ibid., p8
9 ibid., paras 22-23
10 ibid., para 41 4

I think there is a free legal advice forum, post the pics on that mate, it looks dodgy I'm sure a pro will pick them to pieces. I also thought that doing that sort of thing you have to be in proper employment with the law enforcement in that area, they look more like to me. Also is it only static cameras that have to be highly visible (yellow) to drivers??

Surely that's not a speed camera, is it?
These are just misuse of roads, ie driving in bus lanes etc, cameras.
