To Bruges and back!
So Friday morning we set off for a trip to Bruges in the old battle wagon
Hopping on the euro tunnel first time it was great, we had the larger vehicle cab for over 1.85m After arriving in Bruges center we were staying at a lovely hotel called Martins, can't recommend it enough, it was clear we wouldn't fit in the 1.85m car park. It alas there is a 2m car park 10 mins away Whilst driving into the car park we scraped the roof off the bar and chain... Thought nothing of it at the time... Should of heeded that as a warning perhaps You could say the Terrano stood out a bit In the car park... More story and pics coming! Hold fire |

Beautiful place really is...
One of them gold statues would go well on the T2 bonnet Saw some Belgium beef After sleeping Belgium provided some sun On way back to carpark to retrieve Terrano..... Now after scraping the roof on the entrance perhaps I should have heeded the warning, or taken it as a sign... After paying we proceeded to exit up a steep slope to the left with a concrete roof... Narrower it became and smash we heard!!! After stopping and the barrier coming down behind us... I opened my door to find my led light bar ripped out of the brackets At this point it was too late.. So we drove up onto the road... Now somehow luck was on my side... It appeared to somehow rip the bolt clean out of the led bar and bracket!!! Leaving no snapped thread inside!!! Luckily I had one bolt in the boot and a newly acquired set of ratchet spanners Tada!!! All fixed lucky bugger I was!! Quick fill up and on way we were... Racing a patrol And welcome back to the uk |

Bruges is a lovely place, glad you had a great break away.....
Beware of underground car parks........I wiped out a whole barrier in my VW Transporter with Rhino roof bars on......the attendant was not well pleased..... |
