End of an era. Thank you
I would like to say a huge thank you to all you beautiful people out there who have wished me well in my battle with cancer. I feel truly humbled by the sheer number of messages of support. I have now started my course of treatment, designed to make my life as comfortable as possible. Initially it's immune therapy rather than chemo therapy (apparently it's too late for that). This drug, administered as four treatments over 3 months will be followed by an intensive course of radio therapy to try to slow the growth of the tumours in my brain. This immune therapy costs, wait for it, £60,000 PER treatment, or £240,000 in total. I suppose one could say my NH contributions over the years have stood me in good stead!
I will continue to contribute as much as possible to this brilliant site, but already I am finding it difficult to coordinate my typing with my thoughts, so I am doing lots of back-spacing and error correction, also my memory, both long and short term, is becoming evermore erratic so I will apologise in advance for any spelling mistakes which may occur. Once again, thank you guys for your good wishes and support. Bruce (Terranical) |

Bruce, you are welcome on here for as long as you want to be. As for spelling mistakes, don't worry there's enough of that from everyone else.
Keep popping in and don't be a stranger, everyone is behind you. That's just the way we are. Anyway you'll need to keep popping in to see how the project is coming along |

Bruce, my thought are with you, and your family, thanks for your recent PM, very supportive.
You pay into the NHS, and then we all complain about it, but like you when the Sh*t hits the fan they seem to be very supportive. Some of the treatments are very expensive, and some are still experimental !! The work on cancer treatment is finding new treatments all the time With very best wishes, keep fighting, Richard

I know we don't know each other Bruce, but I wanted to let you know I wish you the very best!!! Wish there was more I could add that would be of some actual use to you, but you're in my thoughts. I hope and pray the treatment has the desired effect
