Got stuck today
Yep how embarassing, had a 4 wheel trailer on (not mine) to tranship dirt to an old job for backfill, made a mess of the trailer so pulled off onto the grass so that I could wash it with the hose without mucking up the road, up hill with a shallow slope away from the road lost traction in 2 wheel and trailer made the rear end drift downhill, selected 4 wheel and nothing, first time I had used it with this motor, and had not bothered to check the hubs, now this customer has loads of vehicles including 4 x 4 but none with a tow point, so had to ring the Mrs to come and tow me out with her T2, needless to say replaced the off side hub which had a broken brake ring, bad day, and before you say it yes working Sunday as so much on, Rick

I was expecting to see a picture of Ricks mud monster up to it's winscreen in gloop
At least you got it fixed mate and it wasn't just a case of the truck not being able to do the job in question. |

Good job you were moving soil and not turf...
That would have been a sod of a job... Note to moderator, in the above context the word "sod" is not a swear word, so should not be moderated. I'm surprised that Rick didn't get round to checking those locking hubs, I guess with all the other 4x4's he has been sorting, he hasn't had the time. Nice to know it is great now, and that he had a solution to hand at the end of the phone, phone home ... Rick should have this bumper sticker... I told you my other car was a Terrano too.. Or I told you my other car was a Terrano II.. Either would be correct. Or extending that.. I told you my other car was a Terrano to ...tow me out of this ...mire..
