Default snowed off work.

looking out of my window its damp with no snow on the ground.

apparently where I work a mere 1 mile away its deep enough to cause chaos.
my work place is however 1000feet above sea level and the main road going up is almost at a stand still.
the side roads are quite thick in snow and window cleaning is off the cards today

so its a nice take my time bacon breakfast.chuck my thermals on.chuck a shovel in the car along with a tow rope and a flask.

and have a drive up to have some fun.

I know its nice to do good deeds for people but I may earn a few quid getting people out of trouble

well come on I have a house to run. got to earn a few quid some how

Wow Pete, you get snow there if anyone else, anywhere in the UK gets any.

We left South Staffs this morning, at 5:00 am it had been snowing since 7:00 pm last night, but it was melting as fast as it was coming diwn, and by 5:00 am it was turning to rain.
No snow, buts plenty of rain as we went south on the M40

today at my house its done nowt but rain.
5 mins from home it was doin nowt but snow

unbelievable the difference in weather in a few feet altitude.
we didn't rescue anyone but we did have some slippery fun

I love the fact my truck is rear wheel drive as its wicked for doing dohnuts

but I could not belive the idiots on the road.we went up some country lanes that were very slippy and snow covered and people were driving as if they were on dry roads

luckily we didn't see any accidents but some of the road users today were certainly asking for one.

Still no snow around here got to drive over 20 miles to see any which we did today & headed NW into Northumberland but even then it was only an inch or 2 but NW of Durham way has around 6" so i've been told
We called in to one of the country parks before hitting the hill & the big lake was frozen solid apart from a little bit the Swans & geese have manage to keep clear
