Smart Phone Apps
What Apps do people use? Any favourites that you have installed?
Yesterday I installed OS Locate, gives you your OS Grid Ref and is also a compass that is over layed over your camera. Also got memory map with loads of OS maps installed which is cool. |

Here you go, all on a rather old iphone 4S. If I don't use it at least weekly, the app is removed.
- all the normal 'social media' things: linkedin, Facebook, Skype, mail etc - Google, wikipedia - google maps, google earth and Sputnik (satellite locations) - a few weather apps, including a rain radar and satellite image one - a few news apps, including the BBC news and CNN one - travel and transport apps (for Belgium): Tmobilis, Railtime, NMBS, STIB mobile, De Lijn mobile, Brussels Airport app - the app from my phone provider, to manage phone costs and such. Banking app from my bank - a bird determination app (Vogels van Nederland) - a sound measurement app (Tuut) |

Like the idea of dumping the app if you haven't used it for a while.
I used flight radar freebie to watch the canadian lanc when it came across back in August. Just added a pole to see which is the most popular type of phone Apple or Android. I still haven't decided which I prefer. |
