Default Marmite lights

As we all know Alex's bumpers are like marmite people either like them or don't well to make Alex feel better i've now got marmite rear lights I was wanting to tint them & was going to get some black fly eye tint film which is road legal so had a look on ebay & came across some silver fly eye film which I thought might be different Have used the black stuff before & it was easy to use & shape unlike the silver stuff which doesn't stretch that well left the rear brake lights till tomorrow as they are going to take some time to do if I can get the film to follow the lights strange shapes

When I bought my latest terrano it had the spray on darkening tint. Looked quite smart in the day light but at night they were pants ended up buying a pair and replacing with standard lights as the spray wouldnt come off.

Check the light output & it's only very slightly down but nothing to right home about the good thing about this stuff is it's dead easy to remove & leaves no glue behind. The film is vinyl & has hundreds of holes in it so the light can shine through & you can even use it on headlights (friends have) but I haven't as we all know T2 headlights are rubbish anyway

As I said marmite TBH still unsure on the lights in the bumper think it might have been better to do those ones black but can remove it all in 2 mins if I change my mind

Hate to be the police but are they road legal?

Reason I ask is because I'm sure they have reflectors in them?

Reflectors are in the brake light unit

I'm gonna have to make a new plate for my sockets as plastic number plate holder is in 2 pieces and was held on with cable ties.

Yes the fly eye film is fully road legal as the reflectors still shine when lights hit them but as Alex has said the main reflectors are up just under the brake lights
Got up this morning & found a lot of it had peeled off over night so have ripped it all off used fly eye tint before & the lights i've covered in the past for people are still good after a year but it was better film than this stuff

Have you tried polishing the lights with wax or something recently?
