Default Customs and Exercise!

So we made our annual pilgrimage to the Great Dorset Steam Fair, this time with a bit of trepidation as it was on the way here last year the lady smashed our caravan.

To make things worse, 4 1/2 hours to do 130 mile as the motorway was so bad. Finally we get to site and join the queues, and eventually we get to the gates, show our tickets and we are here......

Not quite. That man over there in the dark blue jacket wants to speak to you, so if you could pull over to him that would be great...

He shows me his Customs and Exercise badge and tells me he is going to dip my tank. He then asks me what I run on, so I sheepishly say Diesel, Veg oil and Red...... His eyes light up until I finish of the ...ex...

Any way we then have the 3 min wait for test tube to do its magic and have a intersting chat, before I am sent on my way.

Talking to other people they have made a killing here, two people we have met before got caught, one massive RV got fined £2200, and a land rover £550, plus everyone knows of others that got done as well.

I know deep down I was legal after reading all the posts on here and doing my own research, but I have to admit that those 3 mins were some of the longest of my life.

sent from my phone, sorry for any typo's.

No he wasn't...
But how many on here could be?
I have never been asked or dipped in nearly 20 years of owning a diesel.
But I have seen lay-bys with them ready to pounce...

Lol dip away I say, ive got nothing to loose

Thinking though...

That landrover getting fined 500 quids, he could have saved that tenfold if he's been using red diesel for a while
