Well guys I did promise I'd get some info regarding the two lancs, take a look at this link.
http://www.warplane.com/lancaster-2014-uk-tour.aspx

Also see the following request from the commandant of Royal Air Force Conningsby.

A statement from Officer Commanding RAF Coningsby, Group Captain Johnny Stringer about the arrival of the Canadian Lancaster on Friday 8th August.

"I am delighted but not surprised at the huge amount of interest in the visit of the Canadian Lancaster and its crew to RAF Coningsby. As a Spitfire and Hurricane pilot with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight I am constantly reminded of, and grateful for, the interest and affection shown for these iconic aircraft, in Lincolnshire, the UK, and beyond, and for the sacrifice and service they commemorate.

I am also very conscious of the support we receive here at RAF Coningsby from the local community. We can cause disruption and sometimes we are 'noisy neighbours'. Unfortunately, the local infrastructure at Coningsby does not support large numbers of visitors, parking is limited and our roads are not designed for significant amounts of traffic. I realise that many people may wish to come to Coningsby to see the arrival of the Canadian Lancaster, and during its stay on the base, but I would strongly recommend that they take advantage of the many events where both Lancasters will be displaying together. Details of these events can be found on this link."

Its Holmefirth War Time Weekend that the Lancs will be flying over, I'll try and make it too but it does make you wonder if they'll be doing a fly over of Derwent doesn't it. If I find out the timings of any of the fly pasts I'll post back on here.

Well I've just been told today that I'm on a selection course for a few days near Sleaford starting 10th Aug so hoping I might see something in the skies once or twice. Not really appropriate to have a camera but I'm gonna try my best to keep my sneaky phone with me just in case.

The Canadian Lanc has been delayed by a day, will be departing its base tomorrow 10:30z due to no 2 engine refusing to start today.
