Default Touch wood

So cleaned out air filter housing and put in new filter..

So far so good. We went out for about 4 hours lane hunting.

Time will tell if problem us still hidden of not

Changed it for new.

I'm fairly sure engine us ok, however I have realised this symptom occurred before i got mud in the air intake...

The MAF sensor readings are range checked during normal operation and if found to be outside of limits then s safe map or limp mode is implemented.
If however, the MAF output is either non-existant or +5V then MIL will come on.
