Default Terrano Diesel Pump

As some of you know, my truck has been unwell for a while.

Stealers say its a little 3 pin unit held on the diesel pump with sheer bolts.

Apparently, this doesn't come seperatly.

Diesel pump part number;

167001f200

Mk1 non intercooler (square headlight) Terrano II, mechanical pump.

Thanks in advance guys!

FYI..here's a link for the Zexel VRZ (Bosch VP37) IP service manual in PDF.
It may only serve to confirm a replacement pump is the way to go!

Although a fantastic piece of information, its not relevant to my pump.

Thanks anyway, but i think a pump replacement is on the cards anyway.

Unless someone knows how to remove/bypass the immobilizer unit on the pump, that is!

BTW, nissan part no: 167001f200

Bosch: 9460610791

Is yours a 3.0L (ZD30) engine?

I appreciate your input, but the part th e dealers were referring to is on the outside of the case, has 3 wires to it, and is held on by sheer bolts, bolts whose head snaps off when you get them tight, pretty permanent anti tamper.

Gunna see if they can get the pump off if I can pick it up and see whaats under that cover.....pics when I get them!

The black plastic thing? Awesome! Try not to splatter it too much, I may need whatever it is!

ok have taken off the black plastic cover with the wires attached and as i thought as this pump is for the TDI its just the electrical connections for the electronic acuator/throttle and cold start sensor.

infact the 3 wires on there own are the stop solenoid wire, fuel pressure sensor and something else yet to work out what so this pump i have is no good for you as its the TD

im still at a loss im sure all you have on yours is pressure sensor, cold start, shut off solenoid and something that goes to the EGR?

look on page 320 EC section of the manual it shows the pump for the tdi but clearly shows the injection timeing control valve and stop solenoid the only other wire you should have on yours is the cold temp sensor

strange i cant find the td pump in the downloaded manual

search and ye shall find

http://himama.livejournal.com/pics/catalog/1591

some very good photos here you can clearly see every bit of the injection pump and associated parts it looks like the part they are saying is faulty is the speed controller/actuator if this is the same as your pump then its easy to change if you can get hold of a scrap pump

It appears to be the plastic thing on the bottom of that pic, if its the part im lead to believe.

No idea what it does, however, it looks important, so i'll try to stop the stealers breaking it off tomorrow!
