Default Newbie, !st ever Nissan!!

Good day to you all and may I say, Happy new year. I have just purchased my !st ever Nissan.
My name is Andy and I live in near Sheffield S.Yorks.
I'm not new to 4x4's having had several Landcruisers and Chevy Blazer/Tahoe/Suburbans in the past and done a fair bit of off roading.
Anyway, I've just bought this:-

Its a 4.2 diesel with 86K miles, pretty solid and will MOT easily.
I hope to add to the forum as well as learn about my truck from others as I have no idea about any aspect of these Patrols.
I am picking it up at the weekend and will post again when I get possession.

All the best you guys

Andy

Thanks, It would be useful to know of specialists, spares suppliers and breakers as I know, owning 80's Cruisers that parts for older, minority trucks can present a challenge sometimes.
How do I PM you?

Andy

Hello and welcome. That does look awesome. Looks in good order . The big thing to watch with these old girls is the dreaded tin worm so keep on top of that and your laughing. The 4.2 is the engine of choice.

Listen you lot !! that finger has come in useful numerous times!!
Seriously though I am pleased with what I have bought. I know about tinworm alright, I've had a few 60 series Cruisers in my time, they rust for fun.

mmmme likey very much A fair old beast indeed
I'm looking forward to your offroading Trol input. Any help , just shout
Patrol has to be one of the most competent old skool 4x4 by far, straight out the box.
What size tyres are they? You may need to sort gearing if they're 35s
Enjoy
