This belonged to a mate of mine at work, it has been sitting at the bottom of his Aunties garden for 33 years!!!!!

A bloke rang up and brought it outright for £500 because it was tax exempt lol

Just got back from the Ace cafe in London, it's the mods and mini night, plenty of old mini's and old scooters. We went up in my son's mini.

On my way to Piccadilly Wood on Sunday saw dozens & dozens of spanking Mini's heading Brighton way, so there are plenty of Alex Isigons (cannot do the spelling) specimens to be found, Rick

Yeah, a very popular scene, plenty of people into their Mini's, it's nice seeing some of the very old 50's and 60's cars, which are original and still being used daily

500 for a dead shell is about right Vin plates are getting a few hundred on their own
A friend of mine buys any Mk1 or Mk2 he can get his hands on. Strips the whole thing to shell and rebuilds just the body.
Sells two or three a year at 2 grand a pop

Would that be the Ace cafe on the North circular road, used to be a rockers haunt, Rick

Yes Rick, it's the second time we have been, I love the atmosphere of the place, all the old photo's and memorabilia and the display of old bikes.
There is something on most nights and plenty of vehicle clubs attend, they also have live bands some times.
well worth a visit, sit down and have a meal and drink and take in the surroundings.

Have you been there Rick

Went a few times in the late 60's when it was a rockers haunt was living in Farnborough Hants at the time, and had a 650 Thunderbird, but I was not too popular as I had the full fairing in white just like the Police bikes at the time, good days, Rick

I think the headlamps may need replacing for it's MOT.
