Default Terrano newbie!

Just thought I'd say hi.
Although I'm not technically new to the Terrano as I was a Nissan dealer trained technician, I am new to Terrano ownership. I quit mechanics after I saw the light in 2001 so I've got no real major Terrano work under my belt because with Nissans was mainly servicing, as you may know (although I've done other Nissan rebuilds/mods since leaving).
I didn't hesitate to become a paid member on here as I've been part of other owner's forums before (Micra,Almera & Primera clubs) and they can be very beneficial .
I'm still waiting to collect the Terrano because the guy has sent documents off to take his private plate off . So pics will follow with a week or two
Thanks in advance.
Shaun.

Welcome mate

Also an ex dealer trained mechanic myself, albeit Vw/audi and also left the trade about 2001 to become a joiner, although I wish I'd stayed at it now with the building trade as it is

Terrano will keep u busy tho lol

Hi welcome to the club.

What model / year do you have, Petrol /Diesel Td / Tdi LWB/ SWB?

I think between us we have sorted every possible fault on the Terrano/ Maverick.
That's why some of us are still able to run motors in excess of 18 years old.
Collectively we know more than any Nissan Dealer.

We like to repair things for the lowest cost as possible, without bodging, and without any safety risks. Some fixes are free too.

If you have a clunk or click, we know how to fix it.
If your carpets are wet, we know how to fix it.

You have made a good decision joining our club, Welcome.

Rustic

Welcome aboard, there's several members around your neck of the woods. I too served time in the Nissan prison but left a few years before you.

Are yes the private plate thing, I've thought about that one too but apparently the DVLA place in Leeds are supposed to be really quick if you turn up in person with the documents. Anyway I'm sure you'll get your hands on the R20 soon enough.

As for the wet carpets thing, I reckon it's an age thing

It's a 2001 diesel in blue. I wanted a swb initially but had to compromise with the wife for a lwb as its now replacing our zafira. Hoping to do some green lanes and p&p.
I kinda stayed with cars as I now build new ones at the Toyota factory in derby.
The seller had already sent docs through post unfortunately, or he could've gone to the one in Sheffield.

Welcome.

I've just got my personal registration number transfered this week. I took it in to DVLA's office in Carlisle, handed over the £80 and was told everything has to go to DVLA Swansea now.
It normally takes less than 5 working days with the local DVLA, it's taken 3 weeks to get all my documents back from Swansea.

I think this could be the beginning of the end for a lot of local DVLA offices.
