Has anyone used a "gas less mig", what are they like. Can you do bodywork jobs ok or is a gas version better.

you really need gas for car body gasless is ok but in places u cant get bottle to i would go for gas everytime wait for a vat free day at machine mart also join www.mig-welding.co.uk good bunch of lads will to help before and after u bought the welder

Just get a gas one, a clarke 135 is a good all rounder

would this well a plate to a sill, or weld a plate to the front cross member??

You could have a pucker used welder for that price, or pay the extra 50 and get a clarke

cheers Stinka, i appreciate your advice, didnt know we needed a low amp option so ill watch out forthat. the Clarke does seem good.

If you want to do bodywork then you need to make sure your amps go low enough like 35 amp or you'll blow holes through and it will be a nightmare

That one looks like it does 60-120 amps range, so its shite mate tbh
