Caravan - unfinished project
hey chaps.
we have an old Elddis Wisp 2 berth caravan, that we bought about 4 years ago or so, with the intention of using it. The day we got it home, we found a bit of damp, so parked it up, and spent quite a while having this repaired. This meant losing the kitchen and bathroom. Over time we started to fix it up, but did less and less as time went by, now, we want rid. we are looking to sell it as is, unfinished, and would like to see £500 for it. We paid £600 for it, plus spent a furthur £600 or so on new bathroom stuff, electric toilet, oven etc etc. Are we fairly realistic? the caravan as far as we can see, is fine aprt form needing the kitchen rebuilding, bathroom finishing and probably new tyres odds and ends etc and the rear lights checking. what do you think? |

I dont see why you wouldnt get the £500 you want for it. Should make a good winter project for someone. Its a shame to let it go now tho after all the work you have already done. Good luck with the sale

thanks Spinna!
yes, I do agree, but we have simply done nothing on it for about 2 years. Im always busy with my cars or work, or the house, and finding time for the caravan isnt possible, plus ive lost the love for it! I htink it will tow ok, i had to move it from the back garden to the front and it was no bother. Doesnt smell damp but we did fix the damp but im no expert thats for sure, my damp detector says its ok?! anyway, im going to try a few caravan places near me that advertise buying, i know theyll probably try offer less, but at least it would be easy, plus id remove the toilet etc if they offer less than £500 as we paid £200 for that alone!! |

You will get more interest at the start of the season and yes, do try ebay. Local stealer's will want it for nothing |
