Hi all,
Having owned a Terrano previously to tow our caravan, I am am in the market for a newer model but this time looking at a 3.0 model. Just wondered what everyones thoughts were I would be towing a twin axle my 2.7 towed very well but would the 3.0 be even better I'm thinking fuel is it a lot more thirsty? maintenace more complicated? I do a lot of stuff myself but is the 3.0 a lot more involved. I take it spares are as readily available as the 2.7

I spoke to a guy that had an identical terrano sport to me in sliver ( but newer style alloys) his was 3.0, he was pulling into a car park as i was leaving.

Anyway we had a chat about terranos etc and he said he had a 2.7 for 5 years previously and all him and his wife had it for is towing their van. He said to me that he had the 3.0 for 8 months and it wasnt a patch on the 2.7, he much preferd the torque delivery of the 2.7 and he claimed that the gear ratios were all messed up on the 3.0 for towing
