transfer box autopsy
was board again today so opened up the old transfer box from my terrano, awesome fun

Really good photos and video clips! thanks for doing these, I have never seen the inside of a Terrano Transfer box and no idea until now how it worked - I didn't know it was chain drive.

You will go far, inquisitive mind like me, so having stripped a transfer box can you tell me an easy way of putting it in low ratio without engaging 4 wheel drive will pay for answer, Rick

Ex banger racer now off road maniac Lokka on the front with manual hubs Diff lock on rear 3 inch SS straight through exhaust Manly winch bumper with 13000 lb winch 10 spike ground anchor, with multiple straps and blocks Super strong body cills capped with scaffold pole 20% stronger springs all round aggressive off road tyres on wheels so just swap. Aim to get stuck and be completely self sufficient in extraction, love getting muddy, 2ft deep is good but rare. |

Cheers, I'm wanting to take an auto box and a standard fwd transaxle apart as thay look interesting. Think I might browse the local scrappys. Will upload the vid about putting the transfer box in neutral overnight As I mentioned in the vid

that would be quite cool, but i'm not sure how to do that in the vehicle i suppose it coul'd be modified as it does get annoying having to keep revercing to un lock hubs
