Default new car.... maybe

i was thinking at going to view ebay item Item number: 280765921118 tomorrow after work with a view to bringing it home.. what faults should i be looking for

Last time I looked it wasn't too bad below 04 ish, but now I looks seems like that is incorrect.

TAX, definately check that first!!

after that Martin, try read the codes if possible, although you may struggle to get the correct code reader. anyway, look for lack of power going up hill, check the sills, check the inner arches and inner wings (from inside the engine bay). Check the gears, listen for whine. shoudl feel turbo kick in a touch at about 1.5k-2k revs i think it is, at that point, check the rear view and passenger mirrors for smoke, or get a mate to watch you belt it past.

check all electrics, the pedals are electric so be aware of that too.

check the boot lining, they can leak, but it will be obvious. Check every singel button and function, including the intermittent wiper settings front and back.

There's nowt left to check after that is there. Lol. I'm not too bothered about the price of the tax tbh I think tax tops out at 400 nicker and I can do that. hopefully I will have a trol to put on ebay tomorrow night

Just paid for my road tax on 06 pathy £460 for year and keeps rising each year

1.road tax didn't go up to £460 till 2006 so will be round 260 mark
2. make sure that millage. is right as round that age speedo could be faulty and replaced with new unit with millage starting at 000000 again.
