hi all I've just bought a rather sad p reg terrano 2 2.7 tdi sr mechanics are good body a bit sad one question the alarm sound when i unlock the door only stops when i start the engine i think it should have a remote i would be grateful for any input regards gallie

Hi welcoe to the site. You can get remotes off ebay for about £25. They have programming details included or you can follow the link to workshops. The instructions are in one of them. Its easy to do. Well I did !! All the best, David

I'd just disconnect the alarm. but I live in the sticks of wales.

i think i read somewhere that by opening the door with the key will set off the alarm, when unlocking with the remote it turns off the alarm first. Be caerful when buying the remote key fob as i think that there are two different frequencies, the programming instructions in the download section, easy to follow.

I am sure someone will have more accurate info to follow
