In these days of recession and gloom some fantastic news our neck of the woods.
Corus Steel Works are coming back on line. After shutting down a year ago almost to the day theyve been bought and are reopening as from today |

on the opposite side of the coin 'Stokes Forgings' a large automotive parts manufacturer are making the bulk of their staff redundant tomorrow, and the rest before the summer business is booming for them making parts for Tata and (believe it or not) Rover - but it's all moving overseas |

Tata is a dirty word around here. They were going to take on the Redcar blast (part of the steel works)but backed out at the last moment in a very ungentlemanly way.
