sounds like a good thread - I'll have a think and come back the other side of a bottle of Merlot - feeling very sentimental

because im old , i have many songs that relate to a particular episode of my life , or remind me of a event , but if i had to pick one i could listen to without sobbing like a baby ...... it would have to be coldplay " fix you ".... simply stunning song and amazing lyrics .

Great thread, I might be here for a while
My musical taste is eclectic and knows no boundaries, I like everything from hip hop, rock, all genres of dance, blues, blue grass and country, poppy chart crap to dubstep. Tbh tho I probably favor 70' and 80's guitar based music. Here goes with a few to start: This is just one of many NIN tunes that are special to me, I lost myself in this a lot when splitting with an ex : One of countless 1999/2000ish hard dance tunes from back in my clubbing days. Have found memories of wicked hedonistic times at golden in stoke and cream liverpool dancing to this tune, not to mention spinning it myself when dj'ing: Again a tune that I have loved and lost to, always find this emotive and beautiful One of the first tunes I started to rave to. had this on tape in mates car and we hammered it every night, great memories: This record is one of the first I remember hearing. My dad used to play it to me as a kid, love the reggae influenced steel drums and the general chilled arrangement of the song : Reminds me of being a kid as my dad is a massive chris rea fan and cos of that, so am I this being perhaps my favorite rea track: One of the best, always play this, week in week out, for years And finaly, my favorite record in the whole world, too many memories. A track I discovered aged 14. Technically, production wise it was way ahead of its time and holds its own with anything of this industrial genre to date: |
