I was over there a few weeks ago, loads of those setups knocking about. You can hire them.
I was in a campervan which was a bit less adventurous, but fantastic trip all the same. Saw one 4x4 that had a military looking trailer tent. Had a special frame that swung the boat up and top of the trailer. |

We have 3 caravans and wouldn't be without one, i can't see any real pitfalls. I must admit it's better if you've got somehwere to keep it thogh and don't have to fork out for storage.

Oh, I would SO love to do that trip. I have a caravan, and go touring regularly, but only in this country so far.
I am saving up for when I retire, then I'm going to take the 'trol (which will be properly restored by then and a caravan, and whichever dog or dogs I have at the time, and go to Europe, and drive. And drive, and drive. I'd like to see Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Sweden, Norway (not in that order)... India. |

We intend being caravan dwellers for a significant part of the year when we retire (not just fair weather). One of those Aus vans would be the muts bits for us. |
