my letter from the police
as you know i got nicked for speeding ( 36 in a 30 ) ...a letter arrived from west yorkshire police giving me 3 options ( guess which one i chose )
1... a place on a speed awareness course ..... £60 fine and no points 2....accept fixed penalty ....£60 fine and 3 points 3....go to court |

my question is .... if i accept the speed course ...... do i get a endorsement on my licence ?

How much is the course? not cheap I bet, but better than having 3 points. Do the course would say. David.

yes........but I had a mate who is so stubborn he would not do the course, then a few months later got tugged again..
There was a guy on my course in mid Cheshire who was from the Isle of Man....he had spent a lot of money just to attend, he was same as me, driving long time and did not want points. |

i passed my test at 17 ( remember the red cardboard driving licences lol ) ......i am now 56 , i have never had a accident on the road which was my fault ... had a few where people have run into the side /back of me .... i have had a very serious accident which was my fault , but was on a racetrack at 100 + mph ..... i used to race motorbikes

Doing the course will still leave your licence clean.
I think you will find its £60 fine and £60 to do the course = £120.00 Thats what it was when I got done. Mark |
