N/s brake disc rusty on one side
Looking under the terrano today I noticed the brake disc was rusted on the inside there is a smooth bit around the middle about 3 cm width then the centre and outer edge are very badly rusted, then when I looked at pad it has got big steps on it where it has worn away on the rust. I thought the caliper was ceased but it pushed back easy has anyone ever come across this ?

I didn't think my brakes were 100% when I went to stop in traffic and hit the car infront on Monday so hopefully some new discs and pads will do the trick

Easy fix, remove them, clean them with fine emery, clean the holes out, brake cleaner and a cotton bud, and grease with copper slip. BUT if the pins are pitted then replace them. best regards, Rustic
