Had a very good day saturday
We went to a Game and Country Fair in Nolfolk .
had a ride around an off road course in a new range rover vogue. 3.2 ltr V8 Diesel auto .the route was in woodland ,light soil and stone with some very steep cross slopes hill decents and some steep climb out of bomb holes.one in particular was as steep as pindale USED TO BE. i would of struggled on some of the route with my disco. I watched a discovery 3 and freelander 2 doing the same course. all on standard road tyres . The drivers were from the Landrover experence . They impressed me with there driving very slow and smooth.. Later in the day I entered a Fly Fishing accuracy compertition. didnt do to badly ,but was supprised to discover i had the highest score so far. We went back later and i talked Sheila into having a go just for fun ! SHE WON THE LADYS COMP . HO YER I WON TO . WHAT DID WE WIN . A 10 MIN RIDE IN A BELL JET RANGER . FIRST TIME WE HAD BEEN IN ONE HELICOPTER. EVEN THE YORKSHIRE TERRIER (ELLIE ) LIKED IT. BOY THEM THINGS SHIFT. FINNISHED THE DAY AT CROMER CLIFFS WITH FISH AND CHIPS. GOT HOME AFTER MIDNIGHT BECAUSE WE DROVE THE OLD COAST ROAD BACK TO KINGS LYNN rgds.iandouglas |

Game Fairs are always a fun day out, unless it rains and you don't have wellies. Bit nervous of flying myself but did have a short spin in a chopper once. Watched the route he took so I would know what to expect, he took off, went left, and completed an anti clockwise circuit. Happy with that me and the family got on board. Took off, went up then turned....right. Nearly needed a change of underwear at that. Some geezer in the front had asked him to fly over his mate's house so he could take a picture. Lesson learned, always expect the unexpected.
