Default What Year is this Nissan 4wd 4cyl?

Anyone with any experience with older model Nissans maybe could give me some advice? This is a swamp buggy which I believe is the chassis and engine from either a pathfinder or a pickup 1980's (maybe 1986ish) model. It's a 4 cyl. I THINK it's a 2.4 l - It's 4x4 with manual transmission. Runs good but finding parts is always a guessing game. Maybe someone who sees these pics will have some helpful input. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this and feel free to ask any questions.

Do a Google Search..."nissan engine two spark plugs per cylinder" returns loads of information, too much to list here.

Reasons could be... improve emissions, greater reliability in say aero engines etc etc.

Plenty to look at.

Maybe a Z24 engine 1984-86 from a Datsun 720 or similar? Going by what twinspark 4x4s the aircon compressor was fitted to. Not much to go on

Dunno about a swamp buggy, but it looks as though it was found at the bottom of one!

Default Thanks so much guys! Here's more pics!!! Maybe this will help

I really appreciate everyone's help in this matter and i looked at junkyard today at several and i'm fairly certain it's a 2.4 l. but as we all know that engine was used in a lot - what i think may be a dead give away tho are 2 things - the steering wheel and the unique domelight that flips down. I have seen this domelight in other nissan models however I have yet to come across this exact steering wheel (where you can beep the horn for 3 locations) and the tilt steering too. Maybe someone will recoginize? Possibilities - mid 1980's 2.4 lt 4 cyl with 5 speed tranny and 4x4 its on 15" rims and it has locking hub only on the passenger side for the 4x4 . Also my key goes into ignition fromt he side not the front - im assuming this is how it was when it was in the truck still just by looking at it, but just an assumption. most nissans i see from 1980's key goes in from the front maybe any of these clues will help. I thank you guys so much for looking and commenting !-
