Question What is chasseur??

Been looking at mavericks on the net and a number of them say ford maverick chasseur. What is a chasseur? Is it like the terrano extreme? I'm lost

Chasseur [sha-sur; Fr. sha-sœr] (a French term for "hunter") is the designation given to certain regiments of French light infantry (Chasseurs à pied) or light cavalry (Chasseurs à cheval) troops, trained for rapid action.

makeitfit is correct - just another trim level. Ford did a Chasseur spec on most of their cars in the 90's, the Maverick was probably the equivalent of the Terrano SLX i.e. with sun roof and fog lights, although they did leave out some other things to keep the price down.

Ok. I thought my terrano was top spec as it's a slx, but it's not got front fogs or valour interior. But it's got a sunroof.
