Side steps Mounting kit/brackets
I have purchased a set of stainless steel side steps for my 97 Regulus LwB ( an older import from Aus) . The brackets that came with the appear to be to small and are very rusted. Doesa anyone know where I can obtain a complete fixing kit or replacement brackets?
Is it possible to convert the headlights to HDI units on my vehicle or will it require a lot of cable replacement to prevent overloading the electrics?: |

There are plenty on here who have taken such things off so you should get some offers later.

With reference to after market Hid, they are being picked up by the MOT stations now, first of all, Hid lights must have a wash cycle for cleaning them and the light profile shape is often not compatible with the optics of the original headlights, that were designed for standard Halogen.
Dazzle is the reason, so be aware. However, most members on here have chosen the Osram "night breakers" as these upgrade the current lights at a fraction of the cost, and are fully legal, and I am not aware of any problems, provided the light pattern is correct. Best regards, Rustic

Side steps/Hid lights
Thanks for the advice on both items. I will forget the idea of HID and go for the recommendation. Re the side steps as soon as I mention it's an import a sharp intake of breath sorry we don't cater for imports try the dealer.

Side steps.
I need side steps as my wife is disabled and needs assistance to get up into the vehicle. So sarcastic comments are not necessary unless you want to make them face to face
