D22 navara and 2.7 terrano swap with electric pump not mechanical
Hi I'm new to the group so apologies if this thread is already out there haven't figured out how to get around the page fully 😂,
I had a d22 2.5 and engine went in it twice... run away first time and then after the rebuild with all the updated bits and new parts my chain guide snapped and smashed the new head to pieces long story short I've got rid of the engine but I had been running around in a terrano whilst my D22 was off the road and it didn't miss a beat that has come to an end of its road times as there's no chassis left and I heard about the swap but I couldn't justify spending that much money on a mechanical pump and have seen people talking about merging the looms together and running electric pump??? Has anyone got any diagrams of the two looms together or any pointers on what to chop off or what to leave alone would be massive help engines in place its just the loom to go now many thanks hope to hear from you all |

Hi mate and welcome, sorry hear f your woes, not heard of merging the two looms, first of all the terry came in two flavours, Bosch or Zexel and the looms are very different between the two, so doubt that any of the D22 stuff will be of any use, to my mind you just need to remove all the engine related T2 stuff and fit it all in the D22 including the coil around the ignition barrel, hope this helps, Rick
