Default Who are the mods????

I only know of Bat21 and I rarely see him knocking around, he's probably lurking around keeping an eye on us, the "gypsy" thread was soon put to bed

Is there any way of distinguishing who a mod is and is there any way of searching for them within the site?

No they just turn up at your door with 21 bats and either beat you into agreement or insert one roughly from behind, depending on the severity of your blasphemy

Tap on "Members List". then click the heading "Posts" this will put the posters in order of how many posts are written, and you will see the word. "Moderator" under their user name.
Scroll down, and you will find a total of......

wait for it.....

one member who is a moderator. Written in Green.

and you will also find Bat21 as an Administrator.

Hope this helps,

best regards,

Rustic

So is the administrator the actual owner of the site and the moderator the ones who keep the piece and give you a telling off?

Sort of like a school isn't it, the members are the pupils, the moderators are the teachers that watch over us, help us and tell us off for being cheeky & misbehaving, and the administrator who I'm guessing is Bat21 is the headmaster, who runs the school and gets the really bad pupils reported to him

I'm a Mod, and an Administrator... just not on this forum...

Administrators are responsible for the site, including layout, features, upgrades Etc and usually are the ones who own and run the site.

Moderators are Users who have extra rights to the normal users, so can delete, move, and modify, posts that are not their own, and can often put temporary bans on people.

As an Administrator, you appoint Moderator to help keep an eye on things that are within their speciality, so for example, "Makitfit" could keep an eye on the Terrano body modification section, as that seems to be his speciality, and he knows what he is talking about, but might not be allowed to alter anything and just be a normal user when posting in the Patrol electrical section, as they may be an area where someone else is better suited.

Some sites are so volatile, you need loads of moderators, so that there is a good chance that there is always one or two on line, while other sites, like this one are very friendly, so just mostly, it can be managed by just one or to people.

I'd love to be a Mod, just to look after things and do a bit of a tidy up now and again

I think if the stats were pulled that since I've joined I've spent the most time on here out of all the users lol
