Default Patrol bull bar - can it fit a T2?

Will a bull bar made for a Patrol be easily adapted to fit on to a '03 T2?

The Patrol is only 95mm wider than the T2. The chassis connections are probably different but I can manage a bit of simple welding.

See:- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Anyone had experience of fitting such a beast? Any info welcome, regards CL

Can you get the width measured from the seller, then check that with your chassis rails?
From the pic you'll need to mod it straight away from horizontal fixing to vertical anyway
If you can weld well then there's no prob in theory. Do they not do one for the T2 ?

I was going to say, that pretty much any bar will fit anything if you prepared to fabricate a braket or two, I had a Suzuki Vitara a bar on a transit Di pick up for a couple of years!

It would be nice to have one and offer it up for comparison first though, I know from experience that tape measures lie!

Hi Guys
YES I'd like to get 'one' from that delivery girl too but I don't think my dear wife would be very understanding!
Unfortunately they don't do a bull bar for the Terrano, hence my request for info from anyone who might have modified a 'Troll bar. Re getting the width measurement - my German is only marginally worse than my French and that is cr*p! So asking for technical data, even if I got a reply, would be unlikely to achieve a great deal.
PLANK as usual you have come up with some down to earth common sense - of course anything can be modified, given enough time, equipment and application. And Yeah I've got one of those elastic tape measures!
I think I'll just go for it and modify it to suit when it arrives. Thanks for the input.
Regards CL

Hi Briggie
I've found lots of bars for Terranos but not wrap-arounds like the one in my link. You got any links to similar bars at a similar price?
Regards CL
