NFU mutual recommended !
Got 3 quotes yesterday for fully comp protected insurance with full breakdown recovery for my 1998 import Mistral 2.7tdi ... i have maximum no claims discount.
1: My existing insurers wouldnt insure it .. 2: Adrian Flux = £473.86 inc breakdown with local garages network. 3: NFU Mutual = £472.50 inc Full breakdown and recovery with RAC. As its my first 4x4 and an import prices were pretty steep so needed to pay deposit and pay rest monthly direct debit over 11 months Adrian Flux wanted £65 deposit up front and 11 monthly payments £56 = total of £681 so £207.14 added for admin fees and paying monthly etc .. NFU Mutual wanted £44 first payment payable on 18th Sept then 11 months at £40.44 ... total £488.84 ... so £16.34 added for admin etc .. So as you can see i went with the NFU ! |

NFU
I am with them as well.Check prices every year and they are always very competitive so stay with them.Other thing is they are down the road (6 miles) and I always speak to the same local person with a pronouncable name. Suits me sir !

NFU Mutual insurance
The other thing worth noting is that the more you insure with them the more annual discount you get - they now do both our 4x4's, house, business, dog and each year I save a lotadosh in comparison to what I used to pay - they are also sensible by insuring both 4x4's on a combined policy !! magic

I have to say whenever I've contacted NFU theyve been helpful and friendly, not at all pushy but their prices have been way out
When I last insured the T2 I cant remeber exact figures but somewhere around £250 ish maybe a little less. NFU were over £400. They were up there with axa and direct line cost wise. ALWAYS worth shopping around |

the problem is that wherever one goes with an Imported vehicle the cover prices will be much higher ...
Its quite reassuring though that the NFU dont seem to want to charge much if anything at all in the way of admin fees etc while other insurance companies like Adrian Flux who i rang just to want to milk you dry with extra charges ! |

So long as you get top cover for minimum bucks it doesnt really matter who's name is on the policy doc thats my philosophy anyway.
Over the last two years Ive been with Bell and Elephant. I'm now with Admiral. Each time I move I save money, quite a lot this time around..............but they're all the same company working out of the same office with access to the same computers Work that one out |

NFU mutual should have lower excess and £50 excess for glass cover, adrian flux were £90 excess for glass cover and higher accident excess.

NFU will do whatever excess you want. Lower the excess and the higher the premiums are. Mine was £100 as that's what i wanted.
