my accident
me and sheila went for a bit of shopping in tesco tonight .... i felt confident enough not to use my wheelchair , so decided to hold on to the handle of the trolley ... im normally ok like that ...... but i fell while holding the trolley ... all hell broke loose in tescos... loads of people around me , even a official first aider !!!! , despite my protestations that i didnt need a ambulance and falling is fairly normal for me , they where going to ring one , i asked them very politely not to . but they insisted on pushing the trolley to my car and loading it , then insisted i rested for a while before driving home , i only got a few bruises and a cut arm ( which they dressed lol ) ...... brilliant staff

Glad to hear you are ok Briggie, that's what's important.
But it did spring to mind.... Joke coming.... Did you fall before paying at the till, a great way of getting your weeks shopping for nothing especially when they load your car as well. Did they give you your £1 back for the trolley? As I said great to hear you are ok, my mother-in-law fell once in Morrisons, they were the same, most people do help in this type of situation, most shops would be the same. I think they are also concerned if there was any liability against them at a later time, maybe someone claiming they slipped on water etc. I think the £1 return to base trolleys are far better, less dings in your car, especially if the car parks are on a slope, or you are affected by "strong wind".
