Default Bangers

It is gone 11 pm Swifty just gone home, both bangers ready (just) mine is on the trailer waiting to go, we will load Swifty's tomorrow 7.30 am, scruteneering at 10, first race 11, will take many (low res) pics for you all to see I recon my Mondaeo will survive for another meeting or two, but Swifty's ???????? we managed to graft two Honda carbs on to it (Webber broke) and does it go, he will be the fastest on the track, trouble is things keep getting in his way, on the other subject, Sally can I ask everybody to keep their eyes open for a Mistral flywheel, it seems they are like rocking horse ???. Rick

Default Ricky & swifty at Smallfields Sunday

Well what a day the pics do not show what we did, but great fun had by all, and Swifty did not mangle his car as is usual, in fact it will race again (unheard of) mine will race again but needs new engine, 2nd lap first race did rad, lost water overheated, done head gasket, did 2nd race with new rad, but still melted it, great fun

Default Racing

I stuffed a rad on the second lap first race but of course did not know till the engine started to smell and pink, race over by then, no placings, first time at this track so takes a while to learn it, also stuffed near side front wheel, and steering got about 2 inches toe in, changed rad & wheel, suspect head gasket gone, went out second race any way, I stuffed a guy up the bank and he rolled on to his roof (I think we had about 7 rollovers today), I got followed in and went up the bank after him but stayed on my wheels, had a couple more bangs, finished the, race, engine stopped, never to go again, so lost out on the final, but car will race again at this track in a few weeks. Next meet is Dover I think it is bank hol Monday, need a small Honda for this one, will be sourcing one soon, Swifty finished all four races very very very unusual for him, his car usually has to be craned onto the transport home, Rick
