Politics,sorry
Is it just me or are the Irish and British Governments conspiring on budgets now? Seems to me that measures we introduce in our budgets are being copied by the UK government i.e. hammering the Civil Servants on pensions and wages.

Well , with the muppets we've got in Westminister, the Central Electricity Generating Board couldn't generate enough energy for them to have a bright idea, with all the effort they have to put into fiddling their expense sheets, so they have to follow everyone else on policies, like little lost sheep ....... AND HEY .... WE'VE GOT ENOUGH SHEEP IN WALES, SO YOU CAN KEEP THE BU$&ERS !!!

trouble is Liam, ONE THIRD of the entire government budget goes on civil servants so its gt to be addressed one way or another before it cripples us all.
and those people are mainly sat pretty on their non-contributory final salary pension schemes, that only a handful of private sector companies still have or can afford, and we pay for it. I read a statistic somewhere said more than 20% of our council tax alone goes to funding local government pensions.... And working (private sector) all day with civil servants in the MoD, and seeing what they get up to, or rather don't, they have no sympathy from me.... But you're right, they might as well have given The Playboy a job over here! |
