Default calling all yorkshire dwellers

I am up in yorkshire on work but want to have a good look around .

Would really like some inside info on where is good to go.

Will be around robinhood bay and then over to Leyburn.

looking to walk and chill with a good pub for food and ale
So as we are down the pub thought I'd ask

I stay in Pickering quite regularly which isn't far from Robin hoods bay. I do a lot of walks around Goathland (Where Heartbeat is filmed) There is a walk to a waterfall called Mallyan Spout which is highly recommended and there are 3 pubs in the village! Also Thornton-le-Dale has some great walks in and around the Dalby forest. If you go to Whitby the fish and chips are fantastic!
